The board of the Seligman Quality Municipal Fund (SQF) announced Thursday that they have reached an agreement with the Bulldog-Karpus group regarding proposals at the upcoming shareholders meeting. The board is going to allow shareholders to vote on an open-ending recommendation, and if the majority of votes cast are in favor of this proposal, the board will seek shareholder approval to open-end or liquidate the fund.

I consulted my magic 8 ball and it confirmed that the shareholder proposal will be approved and that SQF's days as a closed-end fund are numbered.
